dvd player. If I do, will it be possible to play the Blu-ray dvd player on my TV but use the speakers from my Sony home cinema? How?

simply hook the video out on dvd to video input on tv and audio out on dvd to audio input home cinema
you should have an “aux” input on your home cinema. if not, then you won’t be able to hear anything for a different source than your home cinema.
Yes, definitely. You would definitely enjoy it much more, too
You can probably find instructions in the manual to your Home Cinema System on what cord goes where. Generally speaking, put a plug into the “Output” jack of the Blu-ray player, and connect it to the “Input” jack of your Home Cinema System.
You can find really good deals online on Blu-ray players. I recommend you try that, otherwise you’ll end up spending $50-$100 more than you really needed to. I got mine shipped to me for free, priced $60 less than had I gone to the store.
