I would have to agree that the PS3 Blu-ray player is probably the best on the market now. With the blu-ray profile 1.1 that came out on the 1st of November, any blu-ray player that came out before then will not be able to have that update, whereas the PS3 will get it in a firmware download. The PS3 will also not have a problem with blu-ray profile 2, since it is online-capable right out the box, whereas not every blu-ray standalone player has online capabilities. Definately go for the PS3.
I use all models of Blu-Ray Players on the market (and some that are not) at my work 8 hours a day under all sorts of conditions and I can say that the PS3 is hands down the best blu-ray player on the market.
Plus you get to play sweet games and other multimedia tools with it too!
No there is not. The only difference is when you buy the ps3 you actually get the blu-ray dvd player with the gaming console all in one. A seperate blu-ray dvd player actually costs about the same as the ps3 if you do research.
When magazines review BluRay players – they are always compared to the PS3 performance. And so far the PS3 comes out on top.
(it’s those 3 “Cell Processors” in the PS3. It’s like using a super-computer to play movies).
