Just got it today (CNN – Bluray wins!!). Updated software and will not play a bluray disk….. nothing but an endless loop of “reading disk”. And guess what…CrapUSA customer service is closed too…..Did a reset and was finally able to get the disk out.

Sharp SUCKS and I knew this and still bought this player (one more chance)… so last chance for this POS and amazon can have it back! Last time EVER for sharp and last time for amazon too….

I’ll stick to using my PS3 for bluray playback since it works fantastic and will purchase a SOny bluray player later (from someone LOCAL!)

I can’t stand it when you shell out money and you get crappy products like this POS is!

If you still buy this hopefully you get a good one! Man am I pissed!!!

I wasn’t happy at all with this system, primarily because it didn’t work properly; that is, the center speaker didn’t work at all. However, I contacted Logitech and they replaced the entire system after I returned the control pod, which, of course meant that I had to reassemble. Kudos to Logitech.

I just came to Amazon’s site to find out what others might be saying about this player. I’m amazed to see all these reasonably good reviews (star ratings) followed up with very blah comments and some folks describing truly bad performance. I give this unit two stars at best.

This Blu-Ray player was a gift and I’m hoping it will cut the mustard next to my HD-DVD, I really am. But so far, I’m disappointed with how LONG it takes to respond to basic remote commands (power on/off included) and I’m also less impressed with the picture quality. The remote is quite large and clunky and I hate that it doesn’t have a stop memory (have to start at the beginning of the movie each time).

My HD-DVD player for the record.. starts up faster, plays exactly the same gorgeous audio/video, is permanently connected to the internet and can get its own updates anytime it needs to and still cost less.

The only thing worse than this piece of junk is Windows Vista. Buy it at your own risk. It’s slow. It works about 50% of the time. I wish I could lash out at this product with the profanity it deserves!!!!!!!!! JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
